Checkatrade Let Us Down
We were completely reliant on Checkatrade to source us a trustworthy expert for our renovation project. We registered and advertised our project details, but unfortunately, we were left abandoned at sea.
- Zip reached out to us.
- The few quotes we did receive were unrealistic.
- Worst of all, their helpline was absolutely hopeless.
We are very disappointed with Checkatrade and would strongly advise using their platform. There are much better alternatives out there. We are saddened by having wasted our money on this ineffective service.

So, steer well clear of Checkatrade if you value your sanity.

Is Checkatrade a Scam?
We thought we were doing the right move by using Checkatrade to find a reputable plumber/electrician/contractor. After all, they seemed so legitimate with their approved traders. Boy, were we wrong! Our experience was nothing short of a disaster.
Right away, the customer service from the "qualified" trader was lackluster/awful/terrible. He was unprofessional/rude/disrespectful and gave us a quote that was outrageous/ridiculous/way too high. We tried to resolve the issues, but he was adamant/unwilling/stubborn to compromise/negotiate/change.
In the end, we ended up payinga huge sum/an exorbitant amount/ way more than it should have been by this so-called "vetted" trader. Checkatrade's customer service was equally useless/incompetent/unhelpful. They offered us a pathetic excuse/blamed the trader/did nothing.
We're left feeling angry and warn everyone against using them for your tradesman needs.
We Paid, But Never Saw the Work: Checkatrade Fail.
My rundown with Checkatrade became a total disaster. I booked a trader through their website to complete some essential home repairs. They looked reliable at first, but it turned out a appalling ordeal.
Even though I sent the full amount upfront, the work completely vanished into website thin air. Getting a response became impossible. It's been weeks, and I'm still left with unfinished repairs.
Checkatrade has been useless throughout this whole process. They offered no solutions. It feels like I've been robbed.
- Avoid Checkatrade at all costs.
- Be warned: Checkatrade is a minefield of trouble.
- Let others know about this scam.
